Every now and then I meet people who tell me that they feel sorry for my guide dogs because they are forced to work. My usual response is to ask them to watch Normandy and see if it looks like he isn’t happy to be doing what he is.
At the same time, I know that even guide dogs who love their work need some time off.
That’s why Normandy got to go to the local dog park the other day. He had a marvelous time running around and playing with his friend Nikki, who is hopefully going to grow up to become a guide dog too. While they were there, Magic also came to join in the fun and games. So there were three beautiful black Labradors having the time of their lives.
We managed to get a video clip showing the three dogs playing. I added it to my YouTube playlist of videos of my guide dogs at work and at play, and included a brief video description for those who can’t watch the video.
